My client commissioned this window to commemorate and celebrate the life
of their young daughter Rosa, both for her parents as well as for her sibling.
The window needed to be a free hanging piece (90 cm radius) that can be moved and mounted in different places where there is natural light, whenever required.
In the centre of the window we see Rosa. She is held by birds, flying her to the heavens. All around is the pattern of the rose repeated, made in rosa-colours of radiant mouth-blown glass. We included the delicate pastel background which fitted with our sense of young children. The butterfly were incorporated, because they were Rosa’s favourites.
