I embarked on a new approach to combine fused glass with stained glass. The Poppies are fused, using BE glass & frit, inserted in an this Art-Deco style Tiffany window I designed. The poppies are made of several layers of glass and frit, fired in the kiln to get the desired tactile effect., with lots of texture and depth in colour, without lead or solder separating petals and leaves. Each poppy is individually made, as is the glass for the buds created in the kiln. Poppies where chosen to commemerate the love for poppies from a parent and for the commemorative relationship re WW1. The window was placed in an alcove,
in fornt of a double glazed window, a wooden frame inserted into the alcove keeping it in place
